A four pass move finished with a nice shot by Amanda.

Gold Coast had lots more chances to increase their lead but we couldn’t take them and had to settle for the one goal.

A great performance by the girls and vast improvement has been shown in the Spring.

We have been together since January.

I am looking forward to an experimental Spring Season in preparation for the Fall Season.

Coach Nico will arrive from England in Mid July bringing plenty of soccer experience.

Coach Audrey is a local HB girl who plays for HBHS and Gold Coast Xtreme U16.

It was a great night. Special thanks goes out to Debby Rommerdahl and Monica Pavalko for organizing it. They put on some great games to entertain the girls. Michele McKay for producing an awesome DVD of the season.

To all the parents who bought the food and drink and to all the girls who came made it a great night.

Coach Mike and I were over the moon with all the presents you gave us.

Brentford beat Stockport 2-0, Liverpool beat their rivals Manchester United 2-0 and Goldcoast Xtreme United get another goal through Lauryn and play their hearts out against Fram CQ.

Jessica got the all important goal but the team deserved it and so did the parents for their superb support throughout the season. We get to travel with the team to Long Beach on Saturday morning followed by an early morning kick off just before Encino. Most of the team will be staying in a hotel nearby where we will be enjoying the evening with a meal and bowling. I now have 9 lessons each week with children who have been with me for weeks even months.

I like to break down the sessions with certain themes which are age and level appropriate. If the players have shown improvement and the effort during the session we usually finish with a 5 minute fun game of their choice.

I have been coaching  Trevor and Stephen since last Fall and every week since February 2009. Trevor represents the APP team for U11 and plays for South Coast Bayern as well. Stephen plays for the U9 South Coast Bayern Team.

Stephen wasn’t a goalkeeper before I met him but he was soon keen to learn how to be solid in front of goal. In a short space of time Stephen has established himself as South Coast Bayern’s number 1 goal-keeper with a number of great saves and superb kicks.

Trevor played both goalkeeper and on the outfield and from the first moment I met him his attitude impressed me. He already had strong kick in both positions but I wanted to work on his accuracy and ensure him that power wasn’t always the right option. He adapted to knowing when to hit the ball long, short, hard and soft.  We worked on his set pieces and takes a lot of corners for the APP team.

I am very happy to be working with both of them and long may it continue.
